The Pune Police Commissioner arrested the 22 year old man, who was a fan from Nashik. He kept posting lewd photographs and making vulgar comments on her pictures. He even began harassing all her friends on the social media platform. She claims that the incident affected her personal and professional life as the content he posted would make any dignified person cringe. When she asked the impostor to stop, he began giving her death threats, which led to her filing an FIR. "Most of us women have this false notion that if we stand up against something like this our reputation might get affected and we might get looked down upon but this couldn’t be further from the truth," she said in a statement. She added, "The truth is that women need to come out fearlessly and shame the wrong doers this will bring the guilty to justice and deter the perverted perpetrators." "If my statement encourages even one woman to come forth and report her victimization I’ll think that my going through such a harrowing experience was worthwhile.
