=Lambagraon=
Estate in Kangra District, Punjab, with an area
of 125 square miles. The present holder, Raja Jai Chand, is a descen-
dant of the ancient Katoch kings of Kangra. On the annexation
of that District, Ludar Chand, a nephew of the famous Raja Sansar
Chand, was confirmed in his jdgtr; and in 1851, on the death of
Sansar Chand's grandson Parmodh Singh, Partab Chand, the eldest
son of Ludar Chand, was acknowledged as head of the Katoch family
and received the title of Raja. The jagir has descended by primo-
geniture to the present Raja, who is an honorary magistrate and
Munsif in his Jagir, and a major in the 37th Dogras. In 1904
he was nominated a member of the Punjab Legislative Council.
His Jdglr consists of 20 villages and brings in about Rs. 40,000
a year.
