Head-quarters of a pargana of the same name in Datia &lt;br /&gt;
State, Central India, situated in 26° 7' N. and 79° 2' E., on the east &lt;br /&gt;
bank of the Pahuj river, a tributary of the Sind. Population (1901), &lt;br /&gt;
4,443. It is a town of old foundation, which has declined in importance &lt;br /&gt;
of late years owing to isolation from roads and railways. The Nadigaon &lt;br /&gt;
pargana is held from Sindhia, a yearly payment of Rs. 9,500 being &lt;br /&gt;
made to that chief through the British Government. A .school and a &lt;br /&gt;
State post office are situated in the town. The nearest railway station &lt;br /&gt;
is Kunch on the Cawnpore branch of the Great Indian Peninsula &lt;br /&gt;
Railway, 10 miles distant by country track. &lt;br /&gt;
