In 2015 the President of India approved conferment of Padma Awards to 104 persons as per the list below. The list comprises of 9 Padma Vibhushan, 20 Padma Bhushan and 75 Padma Shri Awardees. 17 of the awardees are women and the list also includes 17 persons from the category of foreigners, NRIs, PIOs and 4 Posthumous awardees.

		+	Luminaries like senior BJP member L K Advani, actor Amitabh Bachchan, Akali Dal chief and Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal were among those honoured with the Padma awards, second highest civilian honour in the country , in 2015. However, their names are missing from the list of 1,840 people who were recommended for the awards by the home ministry raising questions on who had supported their nomination.

This list is considered by the Padma Awards Committee that includes the cabinet secretary , home secretary , secretary to the President among others.
