Capital of the State of the same name in Cen- &lt;br /&gt;
tral India, situated in 25 50' N. and 78 55' E., about 8 miles from the &lt;br /&gt;
Moth station on the Great Indian Peninsula Railway. Population &lt;br /&gt;
(1901), 8,286. The town, which is often called Shamshergarh, was &lt;br /&gt;
built in the seventeenth century, and was subsequently reconstructed &lt;br /&gt;
by Chhatar Singh. It contains the Raja's palace, a jail, a post office, &lt;br /&gt;
