=Shendurni=

Town in the Jamner taluka of East Khandesh District,
Bombay, situated in 20 degree 39' N. and 75 degree 36’ E., 12 miles east of Pachora
on the Great Indian Peninsula Railway. Population (1901), 6,423-
Shendurni was a grant made to the family priest of the Peshwa Baji
Rao. It contains a ruined Hemadpanti temple. An annual fair is held
here in honour of the god Trimbak. The town has a cotton-pressing
factory, and two boys' schools with 260 pupils.
