Ganapathy, Thakkar win sailing gold:
Indian duo of Varun Thakkar and KC Ganapathy clinched the gold medal in the Asian 49er Sailing Championships, which concluded in AI Mussannah Sports City, Oman. The Tokyo Olympians were 10th overall but the only Asian team to finish in the top-10.

[edit] Hempel World Series: Kumanan wins bronze
Chennai sailor first Indian woman to win medal at the Worlds
Chennai: Nethra Kumanan became the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Sailing World Cup as she clinched bronze in round 2 of the Hempel World Series which concluded in Miami, United States on January 25. Nethra finished behind Erika Reineke of the US and Greece’s Vasileia Karachaliou who won gold and silver in the laser radial category.
