J Nakhshab (aka Nakhshab Jarchavi) is a name that one is familiar as a poet and songwriter in Hindi films. In Naghma (1953), we see another side of his personality. Nakshab is the producer and director of the film. Released under the banner, Filmco, Bombay, the film's music is composed by Nashaad (NOT Naushad). Being a poet, Nakshab had also written the songs for the film. Of the 10 songs in this film, 9 were creations from his pen, and the 10th was a collaboration with another poet Mirza Shaukh Lucknowi. The film has some very wonderful songs –including the iconic song "Badi mushkil se dil ki beqaraari ko qaraar aaya". Five songs from the film are posted on YouTube .
