ear 1945 was also remembered for another film , BN. Rao's Saliwhanan. The movie remembered not just because it was one of the first Indian fIlms to be hand tinted in colour, but because this .was the fIlm in which M.G. Ramachandran was cast as a villain and Ranjan played the lead role in the fIlm. 21
