Mohit Mongia broke his father’s long-standing record by scoring a blistering unbeaten 240 runs off just 246 balls against Kerala in the same tournament. In 1988, Nayan had scored 224, then the highest for any Baroda U-19 batsmen in the trophy till Mohit, captain of Baroda U-19 team, surpassed it.
