The murder of Vidya Jain shook Delhi in 1973. It was one of the first high-profile cases of contract killing in India. Vidya was the wife of Narendra Singh Jain, honorary surgeon to President VV Giri. A true crime drama podcast that recounts the sensational Delhi crime.
Big cities are often indifferent to horrific crimes. They simply don’t care. Soon the crime fades from memory like smoke in the wind. But some murders take a city by surprise. They become talking points and linger in the public’s consciousness for decades. Like the cold-blooded murder of Vidya Jain which rocked Delhi in the winter of 1973.
