WEIGHTLIFTING
Hailing from the outskirts of Vellore in Tamil Nadu, this 23-year-old realized his dream when he lifted 149 kg in snatch to set a new Commonwealth Games record in Glasgow last year. Sathish, son of a National Games gold medallist, returned home with the gold medal in the 77 kg category with a total of 328 kg.
