Deepak Lavania, Over 11L UP Board students flunk Hindi, May 1, 2018: The Times of India
Over 11 lakh students have failed in Hindi, their mother tongue, in UP Board exams. Number of such cases in class X is twice as compared to class XII. According to secondary education department figures, a total of 11,19,994 students – 3,38,776 in high school and 7,81,276 in intermediate –failed to pass in Hindi which is a compulsory subject in the state board.
