Head-quarters of the tahsil oi the same name in the Hindaun nizdmat of the State of Jaipur, Rajputana, situated in 26° 55' N. and 76° 49' E., about 62 miles east of Jaipur city. Popula- tion (1901), 6,629. The town contains 8 schools which, in 1904, were attended by 135 boys.
