Isolated castaway: Bangaram Island
India Today December 19, 2008
There aren’t too many picture perfect castaway destinations like this uninhabited emerald atoll in the Lakshadweep Islands. Sitting on its own lagoon in the vast turquoise blue of the Arabian Sea, the 168-acre island has no inhabitants, just vast stretches of a silver beach and palm trees.Bangaram is 460 km off the Kerala coast and is a one-hour flight from Kochi. The facilities at the Bangaram Island Resort, the only one here, include a number of water sports.
