The golden temple, located at Sripuram, is a spiritual park located in Vellore district, in Tamil Nadu.The temple, located at the southern end of Vellore, was inaugurated in 2007.The temple has been created to help humans realise the truth about themselves and transform them into enlightened beings and is headed by spiri tual seer Sri Sakthi Amma. Over the years, the temple has been attracting thousands of devotees everyday, from across the world.The temple engages in many charitable activities, such as annadanam, tribal welfare, student scholarships and health services. It is said that many centuries ago, sages performed penance at this very spot to propitiate the universal mother to protect her creation from the afflications of the Kali yuga. It is located in Thirumalaikodi village, near Vellore and is located 150 km from Chennai. It is equidistant from Tirupati and Thiruvanamalai.
