Head-quarters of the tahsti of the same name in the Ramnad subdivision of Madura District, Madras, situated in 10° 7' N. and 78° 37' E. Population (1901), 5,881. Except that it was once the residence of a petty chief and is now the head-quarters of the deputy-tahsildar, it is a place of no particular interest.
