A brief biography

Abdul Ghafoor was the Chief Minister of Bihar from 2 July 1973 to 11 April 1975. He was the 13th Chief Minister of Bihar and the only Muslim to have held this post in independent Bihar. Ghafoor was appointed by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and served during a politically turbulent period marked by student unrest and the rise of the Bihar Movement. Before becoming Chief Minister, he was Chairman of the Bihar Legislative Council. After resigning as Chief Minister, he served as a Union Minister for Urban Development in Rajiv Gandhi's cabinet and was elected multiple times to the Lok Sabha. Abdul Ghafoor passed away in 2004, and his political legacy continues through his grandson, Asif Ghafoor.wikipedia+2​
