Budikote
Village in the Bowriagpet taluk of Kolar District, Mysore, situated in 12° 54' N. and 78° 8' E., 8 miles south-west of Bowringpet. Population (1901), 1,460. There is a Bana inscription of the ninth century. Budikote was the birthplace of Haidar All, and formed the jdgir of his father Fateh Muhammad on his appointment as Faujdar of Kolar under the Subahdar of Sira.
