Birthday flowers delivered two days late

This is an assurance from Ferns N Petals India that an order for the delivery of flowers in Srinagar has been assigned to a gifting partner and is estimated to be delivered on 13th September 2025.
Details:
On 9 September 2025 (4:56 AM), Ferns N Petals India accepted an advance payment for the scheduled delivery of flowers in Srinagar on 13 September 2025.
Two minutes later (4:58), Ferns And Petals India replied “ind, Your order 65800629 is confirmed: …Expected by: Sat, Sep 13.”
Just over two hours later (7:08 AM), Ferns And Petals India informed “Customer Your order 65800629 has been Accepted By Gifting Partner”…”Expected Delivery Date(Courier) 13th Sep 25 09:00-21:00 Hrs.”
If they were unable to secure a gifting partner for the cake, they should have informed us immediately—ideally by 7:08 AM, or at the very least by 11:00 AM, once the workday had begun.
But the flowers were delivered neither on the 13th September nor even on the 14th.
Instead, Ferns And Petals India had the cheek to inform “ Good News Ind! Your order #65800629 has been delivered” i.e. two days after the birthday!!!!!!

On 9 September 2025 (4:58 am), Ferns And Petals India accepted advance payment for a one-kilogramme cake to be delivered in Srinagar on 13 September 2025. Their website has a system in which they indicate “Earliest delivery: xDate yMonth” This cake was well within the delivery period; that is why the website could accept the order.
BUT more than 4 days later, on 13 Sep 2025 (At 12:57) Ferns And Petals India writes that it cannot deliver the cake on the birthday but will deliver it six days later! By then it is too late to contact a more professional company to deliver a cake in Srinagar. At least a few days’ notice is required for that. If Ferns And Petals could not deliver on time, it should not have accepted the order or should have notified us the same day. And they should have refunded the money immediately

Ferns N Petals confirms that the flowers will be delivered on the recipient’s birthday on 20th September 2025
At the bottom right they specify that delivery will be made between 09.00 and 21.00 hours
Happy times ahead they warn us.
Ferns N Petals gives the good news that at 11:13 (23:13) at night they went and delivered the flowers to a lady, three days before her birthday .
Could they not wait till a decent hour the next day considering that there was no hurry?

1. Their confirmation that the cake will be delivered with an “estimated” date of 13 September 2025.

2. Their confirmation that the flowers will be delivered with an “estimated” date of 13 September 2025.

3. Their email dated 13 September stating that they can deliver only on 19 September.

Once these three screenshots have been published on the page, the accompanying text should include the following elements: the name of the company, a link to their website, a link to their Facebook page, and links to all their social media platforms. Clearly explain to the reader what this company claims to do.

Then, help the reader understand how FNP can ruin a birthday by failing to deliver on time, despite written assurances.

How Ferns N Petals Ruined a Birthday

Despite written assurances and confirmed delivery dates, Ferns N Petals failed to deliver both the cake and flowers on the promised day—13 September 2025, the birthday itself.

Their last-minute email, sent on the very day of the event, informed us that delivery would be delayed until 19 September. This rendered the entire gesture meaningless and deeply disappointing.

This wasn’t just a logistical error—it was a complete failure of responsibility and customer care. The emotional impact on both the recipient and the sender was profound, turning a celebration into frustration.

Website Glitches and Misrouting

If the company fails to respond appropriately, we will begin cataloging the technical and usability issues on their website.

One glaring example: a staff member attempted to send flowers to Maharani Bagh, but the website auto-filled Karol Bagh—the location of a previous order—despite manual correction.

What Comes Next

If Ferns N Petals does not offer meaningful compensation and a public apology to the recipient in Kashmir, this page will be shared across platforms to warn others.

We will also escalate the matter to the Consumer Court, where we are confident justice will be served.

Motive for creating the page

To warn future patrons of Ferns N Petals about the possibility that their deadlines may also be missed and their occasions ruined, this incident must be documented clearly. Since this has caused a major misunderstanding between the sender of the flowers and cake and the intended recipient, at least 50% of the damages should be paid directly to the recipient by cheque to compensate for the significant embarrassment.

The remaining 50% can be given directly to the charitable PD Foundation, to make it clear that we are not pursuing this for personal financial gain.

We will accept the damages only by cheque and will not retain any portion of the money for ourselves. We will declare this to the consumer court right at the beginning and I believe this will improve the credibility of our case.

Regardless of the outcome of the case, make sure that even the mainstream media—meaning the newspapers—are informed about it.

If even 30% of them carry a small item on the city pages of their publication, our mission will be accomplished.
