Harua

Village in the Basirhat subdivision of the District of the Twenty-four Parganas, Bengal, situated in 22^37' N. and 88" 41' E. Population (1901), 705. It is the scene of a fair held every February in honour of Pir Gora Chand, a Muhammadan saint, who lived 600 years ago and whose bones {/idr) are buried here. The fair lasts for a week.
