Hasanpur Town
Head-ciuartfis of the Tahsil of the same name in Moradabad District, United Provinces, situated in 28° 44' N. and 78° 17' E., T,2> miles west of Moradabad city. Pojiulation (1901), 9,579. The town derives its name from Hasan Klian, who founded it in 1634. It contains a dispensary and a branch of the American Methodist Mission. It is administered under Act XX of 1856, with an income of about Rs. 2,000. Its trade is purely local ; but a small quantity of very good cloth is made. The middle school has 125 pupils.
