Jintur
Northern taluk of Parbhani District, Hyderabad State, with an area of 952 square miles. Includingy jagirs, the population in 1901 was 87,797, compared with 123,546 in 1891, the decrease being due to the famine of 1900. The taluk contains 297 villages, of which 37 are Jagir, and Jintur (population, 3,688) is the head-quarters. The land revenue in 1901 was 3.2 lakhs. The taluk lies between the rivers Purna (north) and Dudna (south). The soils are mainly alluvial and regar.
