Kanchrapara

Village in the Barrackpore subdivision, District of the Twenty-four Parganas, Bengal, situated in 22 degree 57' N. and 88° 26' E. Population (1901), 1,545. Kanchrapara is an important station on the Eastern Bengal State Railway, and the railway work- shops are situated here. It lies within the Halisahar municipality.
