Kanpur
Principal village in Narsinghpur, one of the Orissa Tri- butary States, Bengal, situated in 20 degree 24' N. and 85 degree 11' E., on the Mahanadi. Population (1901), 1,727. Kanpur has a bi-weekly market, and a trade in grain, cotton, oilseeds, and sugar-cane.
