Karnaprayag
One of the five sacred confluences of the Alak- nanda, where this river is joined by the Pindar (see Pindari) in Garhwal District, United Provinces. The village is situated at a height of 2,300 feet above the sea, in 30 degree 16' N. and 79 degree 15' E. Population (1901), 243. It contains a number of temples and also a dispensary, and during the summer a police station.
