Madha Village
Head-quarters of the taluka of the same name in Sholapur District, Bombay, situated in i&° 2' N. and 75° 31' E., on the south-east line of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway. Population (1901), 5,365. 'l"he town has a fort, a weekly market on Tuesday, and an annual fair in September-October. The fort is now used as a taluka office. Madha contains a Subordinate Judge's court, and three schools, one of which is maintained by the American Mission.
