Range of hills in the head-quarters subdivision of Hazaribagh District, Bengal, extending between 24° 10' and 24° 14' N. and 85° 24' and 85° 35' E., in a general direction east and west for 14 miles. Their sides are steep, but not entirely scarped; the top undulates and has an average breadth of about a mile. The general elevation above the Sakri valley is 1,600 feet, and the elevation above sea-level at the eastern end 2,210 feet. A waterfall, Kokalkat, 90 feet in height, leaps down from the northern face of the range in Gaya District.
