Southern tahsil of the Mohindargarh nizamat, Patiala State, Punjab, lying between 27° 18' and 28° 8' N. and 75° 58' and 76° 17' E., with an area of 277 square miles. The population in 1 901 was 85,130, compared with 88,045 i" 1891. The tahsil con- tains the town of Narnaul (population, 19,489), the head-quarters; and 157 villages. The land revenue and cesses in 1903-4 amounted to 2-3 lakhs.
