Rajura
Taluk in Adilabad District, Hyderabad State, with an area of 595 square miles. The population in 1901, including jagirs, was 24,807, compared with 25,677 in 1891, the decrease being due to emigration to more favoured parts of Sirpur and Adilabad. The taluk contains 128 villages, of which 29 arey^Jr, and Rajura (population, 2,213) 1S the head-quarters. The land revenue in 1901 was Rs. 38,200. Rajura is very thinly populated, containing extensive areas of cultiv- able waste and forest.
