Ramdurg Town
Capital of the State of Ramdurg, Bombay, situated in 15 5' N and 75 2' E. Population (1901), 9,452. The forts of Ramdurg and Nargund are said to have been built by Sivaji. Hand-woven cloth is exported from the town, which is administered as a municipality with an income in 1903-4 of Rs. 4,000. It contains a dispensary.
