Hyderabad : A week after winning the All England junior title, Hyderabad lad Sai Nachiketh Bhatraju clinched the Turkiye Junior International in Halkali Merkez, Istanbul, on Sunday. Nachiketh upset top seed Mehmet Can Toremis of Turkey in straight games 21-11, 23-21 in a closely-fought final. Earlier, in the semifinals, he defeated Amer Mohammed of Saudi Arabia 2113, 21-19. Nachiketh, who trains at the Chetan Anand Badminton Academy here, became the first Indian to win the All-England junior title last week.

Lauding his feat, former world No.10 Chetan Anand, who trains Nachiketh, said, "It's not easy to win back-to-back international tournaments. I am very happy he maintained concentration, composure and also managed the stress both mentally and physically for over two weeks.” TNN
