Sultanabad
Taluk in Karimnagar District, Hyderabad State, with an area of 287 square miles. The population in 1901, including jdgirs, was 131,624, compared with 130,548 in 1891. The number of villages is 146, of which 41 are jagir, Sultanabad (population, 1,339) being the head-quarters. The land revenue in 1901 was 1.9 lakhs. Rice is largely raised by tank-irrigation.
